Geely’s Ridehailing Arm to Offer Carsharing in China

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co. announced that it plans to expand its car sharing service in September.

In a report by Automotive News China, Geely’s subsidiary, CaoCao Chuxing, a Chinese-based vehicle sharing company, released plans to recruit owners of Geely-brand cars to begin providing carsharing services. The service will provide a mix of cars and light trucks equipped with Geely’s vehicle connectivity system.

According to Auto News China, CaoCao was created in 2015 and operates over 40,000 Geely-badged electric vehicles across 37 cities in China. CaoCao told the news source that more than 26.6 million users have registered for its ride-hailing services.
